“Techno Bandits; How the Soviets Are Stealing America’s High-Tech Future” By Linda Melvern, Nick Anning, David Hebditch, and Mark Hosenball, 1984. The Cold War was one of spies and military espionage and it was waged all over the world. Not only did Russia and the US prevent each other from expansionism and from gaining headway with client nations, but the Russians stole us blind when it came to technology.

Star Wars, Star Trek, and Battle Star Galactica were once considered science fiction. However, the way that things are going now it looks like the world’s militaries are moving into space, and wish to use their technologies to battle their enemies. The future of space wars will soon be upon us. Many science fiction writers have written about this, but now with laser systems, satellite killing missiles, and the advancement of space programs, it would be almost impossible to stop.

Collection of Interviews With Brilliant Minds – Book Review

It is interesting to listen to television shows when they interview some of the corporate Titans of our time, and it is equally interesting to watch the “TED Videos” of all the brilliant minds in short 15 minute increments. And yet, many of the people were or are household names, are no longer with us. They brought us their energy, ideas, and they helped us push the forward progression of mankind. It’s too bad they are not here to lecture us, and for us to listen to their words on our TV sets.

The “Bataan Death March” during WWII in the Philippines was one of the most deadly and brutal excursions mandated by any enemy. The Japanese captured this area shortly after the beginning of WWII, which started when Japan destroyed Pearl Harbor in the Pacific. This scenario is captured through the eyes of those that lived it and the records they had kept.

On October 13, 1917 in Fatima, Portugal the Sun literally danced in the sky. Many of the seventy thousand who came to witness the event that had been announced to occur by the Queen of Heaven on that day were cured of their maladies as the sun appeared to fall from the sky and incredibly in an instant dried the soaked pilgrims who had traveled great distances in the rain the night before to pay homage to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The mighty Tiger tank…Hitler’s super weapon of the battlefield. So superior to all other tanks of the enemy that the Battle of Kursk was delayed to allow the Tiger 1 to spearhead the attack that would drive the Russians back and bring victory to the Germans on the eastern front…or so they hoped. “The Last Citadel” by David L Robbins is a fictional novel based on this premise and this is my review.
